Dear Backers,

 

Today we are finally lifting the veil off our eagerly awaited and greatly improved double-rod assembly. We have filed the respective design patents and can now proudly present the first images of our much more versatile rod clamps and cheese plates. 

β€œSo what am I looking at?” This is our new double-rod assembly: It now features two rod clamps instead of just one, plus a full-length cheese plate for endless mounting options!

All-new Rod Clamps with M12 threads

These custom rod clamps have top and bottom M12 threads and 1/4”-20 threads on all sides. This enables totally new use cases such as side-mounted lighting in the far corners over your monitor or magic arms positioned underneath your monitor. They also have front and back dove-tails so you can mount your cheese plate to the front or back - wherever you prefer!

Cheese plates for endless mounting versatility

Each cheese plate has an array of 1/4”-20 threads and center slots for absolutely endless mounting options. They also sit flush with the rod clamps in case you want to mount extra-wide items (back-lighting anyone!?). They are locked in place with friction screws, adding further rigidity to the entire assembly.

And if you look closely, the rod holes are off to one side of our rod clamp so that the entire assembly sits flush with your VESA plate in case your monitor back is perfectly flat (like many of those 4K LGs).

Given all these improvements we will have to take a hard look at pricing of these for when the main shop goes live. On top of that, the pre-order website still offers the 15% Kickstarter discount…so yeah…US$67 (30cm) and US$75 (40cm) are killer prices right now! 

 

We will also send further assembly and shipping check-ins in the coming days, so stay tuned.
